The Sirona Fellowship is a structured co-development programme for researchers, engineers, and builders who want to go deep on a specific challenge in physical AI or enterprise robotics — and need a real operating environment behind them.
"We are not looking for another resume. We are looking for someone with a specific problem they want to solve — and the drive to solve it inside a real deployment."— Piyush Gupta, Founder & CEO, Sirona Robotics
Sirona runs Co-Pilot robotic systems in live enterprise environments. These environments generate the kind of data, constraints, and edge cases that simulations and controlled labs cannot replicate.
If your work requires that context — a real facility, real compliance constraints, real human-robot interactions — we want to hear from you.
Fellows are researchers, engineers, or technical builders with a defined research agenda or engineering challenge that intersects with Sirona's deployment environments. University affiliation is not required.
This list is illustrative, not exhaustive. If you have a problem that requires real enterprise data and live deployment access — and it is not listed here — apply anyway and tell us what you're working on.
The Fellowship is an active co-development arrangement, not a passive access programme. Sirona provides the operating environment and infrastructure. Fellows bring the expertise and the research agenda.
Structured access to Sirona's live deployment environments — active hotel properties, chemical plant QC labs, and industrial facilities — subject to NDA and facility-specific access agreements. Fellows work in real operational settings, not reconstructions.
Access to Sirona's curated dataset corpus — RGB-D streams, LiDAR, force-torque traces, voice command logs, task-state transitions, and compliance annotations across all three environment types.
Direct working relationship with Sirona's technical team — Praveen Pavithran (Co-Founder, IIT Bombay, multiple patents) and the engineering group. This is active co-development, not a passive data licence.
Your research outputs and methodology remain yours. Sirona's infrastructure and operational data remain Sirona's. Any joint IP, if applicable, is agreed in writing before the fellowship begins. No ambiguity.
The Fellowship is not an internship. It is not a trial employment arrangement. It is not a grant programme with deliverable reports that sit on a shelf.
Fellows are active collaborators on a defined problem, with defined scope, defined deliverables, and defined timelines. The engagement ends when the problem is solved — or when it becomes clear it cannot be solved with the current approach. Both are valid outcomes.
Sirona accepts a small number of Fellows per cycle. We review on a rolling basis.
Applications are a brief note — not a CV submission. We want to know what specific problem you are working on, why a live enterprise deployment environment matters for your work, and what you need from Sirona.
